Antibacterial Effects of <em>Ziziphus mauritiana</em> (Lam) Leaf Extract Against <em>Vibrio cholerae</em>

Introduction: In Indonesia, treatment using leaves as traditional medicine is still firmly integrated with the community to overcome various health problems experienced, one of which Bidara (Ziziphus mauritiana). Nowadays, in addition chemical drug treatment, many researchers have also developed about herbal medicine. leaf a potential source antibacterial agent. Methods: The method used well diffusion. Total samples were 25 divided into five groups; groups treated Purple Eggplant peel extract %, 50 75%, positive control (erythromycin), and negative control. Data analyzed Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: inhibited V. cholerae growth characterized by an zone that formed. Means diameter statistically significantly different between (p-value = 0.001. Conclusions: 25%, 50%, 75% concentrations same ability nystatin inhibiting cholera.
